KARACHI: Fatima Surayya Bajia, a famous Urdu author, dramatist and dramatization essayist of Pakistan, passed away Wednesday after a prolonged illness at 86 years old, Samaa reported.

She was under treatment in hospital in karachi in the wake of affliction from paralysis .
Bajia was honoured with different household and global awards including Japan's most astounding Civil recompense in acknowledgment of her works.
She was a well-known identity in social welfare, scholarly radio, TV and stage. She wrote for PTV Centers Islamabad and Lahore since start of the state-run channel.
Some of her mainstream show serials incorporate Shama, Afshan, Aroosa, Tasweer, Zeenat, Ana, Aagahi, Aabgeenay, Babar, Tareekh o Tamseel, Ghar Aik Nagar, Sassi Punno, Anarkali and Auraq.
Bajia was likewise regarded with Pride of Performance Award for her services to the performing Art in Pakistan.
